Multi-Objective Zero-Sum Games with Postponed Objective Preferences

چکیده
The Multi-Objective Game (MOG) considered here involves a lack of knowledge on the part of both players regarding the objective preferences of the opponent. In addition, each player is assumed to postpone its own objective preferences. In contrast to the commonly used utility approach, in this case we propose to apply multi-objective optimization methods that are suited for the current MOG problem. In particular, this paper applies a worst-case domination relation among the payoff vectors. Moreover, the rationality of the players under postponed objective preferences is discussed and defined. The proposed solution approach results in the rational strategies under postponed objective preferences. This allows the players to further examine their alternative strategies before objective preferences are eventually made. Hence, this paper proposes a base for future work on decision support systems for players of such MOGs.

Multi-objective Solution Approaches for Employee Shift Scheduling Problems in Service Sectors (RESEARCH NOTE)
Today, workforce scheduling programs are being implemented in many production and service centers. These sectors can provide better quality products and/or services to their customers, taking into account employees’ desires and preferences in order to increase sector productivity. In this study, an employee shift scheduling problem in the service sector is discussed. In the problem, the aim is ...
متن کاملA TRANSITION FROM TWO-PERSON ZERO-SUM GAMES TO COOPERATIVE GAMES WITH FUZZY PAYOFFS
In this paper, we deal with games with fuzzy payoffs. We proved that players who are playing a zero-sum game with fuzzy payoffs against Nature are able to increase their joint payoff, and hence their individual payoffs by cooperating. It is shown that, a cooperative game with the fuzzy characteristic function can be constructed via the optimal game values of the zero-sum games with fuzzy payoff...
متن کاملThe Robust Weighted Multi-Objective Game
This paper studies a class of multi-objective n-person non-zero sum games through a robust weighted approach where each player has more than one competing objective. This robust weighted multi-objective game model assumes that each player attaches a set of weights to its objectives instead of accessing accurate weights. Each player wishes to minimize its maximum weighted sum objective where the...

This paper presents algorithmic and empirical contributions demonstrating that the convergence characteristics of a co-evolutionary approach to tackle Multi-Objective Games (MOGs) with postponed preference articulation can often be hampered due to the possible emergence of the so-called Red Queen effect. Accordingly, it is hypothesized that the convergence characteristics can be significantly i...
متن کاملSolving matrix games with hesitant fuzzy pay-offs
The objective of this paper is to develop matrix games with pay-offs of triangular hesitant fuzzy elements (THFEs). To solve such games, a new methodology has been derived based on the notion of weighted average operator and score function of THFEs. Firstly, we formulate two non-linear programming problems with THFEs. Then applying the score function of THFEs, we transform these two problems in...
